Yoga & Clay Workshop
Unleash your inner creative, reduce stress and increase mindfulness as you experience a restorative yoga session, be tantalized by a delicious organic feast then get down and dirty with the earthly goodness of hand built pottery making.
This four and a half hour workshop is something special. The day begins by arriving and getting to know each other at the ceramic studio. You will then be transported to the Ashtanga Yoga Studio to take part in a restorative yoga class facilitated by the delightful and experienced Ashtanga yoga teacher Anamari Fanthorpe. At the end of your yoga session you will be transported back to the ceramic studio where a delicious, plant based organic feast will be laid out waiting for you.
Suitably relaxed, with a full tummy, Kara Wood will show you how to prepare clay for use, create a slab, use coils and texture for decoration and basic hand-building techniques to unleash your inner creative. Only your imagination is the limit here. After the class your pieces will be kiln fired, making it usable and food-safe. Champagne and beverages are also included in the price of the day.
This special workshop is run at two location, yoga in the Ashtanga Yoga Studio studio and lunch and ceramics in the Kara Wood Ceramic Studio. The time slot has been selected to accommodate any Saturday morning responsibilities.
